New! CPE Ethics Requirement Information

At the July 24, 2009 Board meeting, the following officers were elected:

James M. Sturgeon, Jr., CPA - President
Harold Davis, CPA - Vice - President
Lee Fisher, Public Member - Secretary

On December 18, 2008, Governor Joe Manchin made the following appointments to the West Virginia Board of Accountancy pursuant to West Virginia Code §30-9-3:

bulletReed Spangler, CPA, reappointed for the term ending June 30, 2011.
bulletJames M. Sturgeon, CPA, reappointed for the term ending June 30, 2010.
bulletJohn S. Bodkin, Jr., CPA, reappointed for the term ending June 30, 2009.
bulletHarold Davis, CPA, reappointed for the term ending June 30, 2009.
bulletLee Fisher, Public Member, reappointed for the term ending June 30, 2010.
bulletDonald B. Nestor, CPA, appointed for the term ending June 30, 2010 to succeed William M. Ellis, Jr., CPA.

Published Roster of Certified Public Accountants, Public Accountants, Firm Registrations and Authorizations to Perform Attest/Compilation Services for the period beginning July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

Board Policy 

On August 24, 2007, the board decided to require each licensee to provide the  Certificate of Completion for each self-study course with the Annual CPE Reporting Form.    

On July 15, 2005, the Board adopted the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs  issued jointly by AICPA and NASBA.  Please review these standards by clicking here
