At the Board meeting on August 24, 2007, the following officers were elected: Robert S. Maust, CPA, President Board Policy On August 24, 2007, the board voted to require each licensee to provide the Certificate of Completion for each self-study course with the Annual CPE Reporting Form.
On January 30, 2006, Governor Joe Manchin made the following appointments to the Board of Accountancy pursuant to the provisions of W.Va. Code §30-9-3: William Ellis, CPA reappointed to a term ending June 30, 2007 Reed Spangler, CPA appointed to a term ending June 30, 2008 James Sturgeon, CPA appointed to a term ending June 30, 2007 Robert Maust, CPA appointed to a term ending June 30, 2008 Harold Davis, CPA appointed to a term ending June 30, 2006 On February 15, 2006, Lee Fisher, Public Member, was appointed to the Board for a term ending June 30, 2007.
IMPORTANT CPE NOTICE - March 2007 It has come to
the attention of the Board that the American Center for Continuing
Professional Education (ACCPE) is marketing self-study and on-line
programming to West Virginia CPAs and that many of you have received
brochures and discount coupons. Several West Virginia CPAs have
claimed CPE credit for self-study courses secured through the ACCPE.
