I think a General Studies Degree will be the perfect fit for me. I have decided I want to be a police officer ultimately. I know that in order to be a police officer I will have to get accepted into the police academy. Not everyone who applies to the police academy gets accepted. So if I end up getting accepted I will put school on hold until after I complete the Academy. However, if I don’t get accepted I think the General Studies degree will work out nicely because I will gain exposure to a variety of different courses. Some of these courses might actually apply towards me becoming a police officer. For example, if I’m taking a psychology class I might get to learn more about how people think and what motivates them. I think this could be extremely helpful because a large part of what I will be doing as a police officer is dealing with people.
